Industry Analysts to Release New Virtual Reality Industry Report in Late March

February 27, 2017 – SAN FRANCISCO – Greenlight Insights, the global leader in virtual and augmented market intelligence, will host a special briefing featuring top-level insights for press and annual clients. This briefing is taking place  during GDC 2017 and will feature new data from Greenlight Insights’ VR Industry Monitor survey. The briefing will be a lead-up to the fifth, bi-annual Virtual Reality Industry Report, which will be released at the end of March.This report, prepared for the industry by Greenlight Insights’ team of global analysts, and co-author, Road To VR, covers the 2016 year-end and forecasts all major aspects of the VR industry worldwide through 2021.

Based on previous  research by Greenlight Insights’ experts, the virtual reality industry is expected to grow modestly until 2020 - when the industry in the U.S. will reach $12.2B. This represents a more conservative forecast than the predictions coming from some investment banks and non-specialist research firms. While some analysts have suggested that VR has not lived up to the hype, Greenlight Insights continues to see many encouraging signs.
