Since its founding in 2016, Varjo, the VR headset startup based in Helsinki, Finland, has raised $46M in venture capital to start production of its VR-1 headset. Varjo says the VR-1 is the world’s first human eye-resolution virtual reality device.

Last week, I was given the opportunity to demo and evaluate the VR-1, as well as meet with Varjo’s executive team. The following is my assessment of the device from a technical and market positioning perspective.
