Greenlight VR, the leader in virtual reality market intelligence, today unveiled its next consumer research report, which will be released in June 2016. Using data from more than 1,200 U.S. survey respondents, the 2016 Virtual Reality Consumer Adoption Report includes analysis that will help executives and investors understand what consumers currently think and really want from virtual reality.
Last year’s Consumer Report found high interest in virtual reality, with 79 percent wanting “more” after a test drive and just 6% saying they had no interest. The first-of-its-kind study also found that a $599 price for headsets is only attractive to 40 percent of potential market. 20% said they’d pay $400-$599; 9% would pay $600+ and 9 percent said they’d pay $1000+.
The 2016 Virtual Reality Consumer Adoption Report will build on last year’s report, and also feature new topics, including:
- Exposure to Product Categories & Major Brands
- Attitudes & Behaviors Towards Various Types of Content
- Attitudes Towards Specific Use Cases
- Preferences For Payment Models
