Adobe MAX is a yearly celebration of the company’s users, marked with announcements of new products and tools Creative Cloud subscribers can start mastering as soon as it has been announced, in addition, to a sneak-peek into research developments in coming years.

This year, Adobe focused on developments of two emerging software technologies: machine learning and immersive media. The company’s AI software, Sensei, is being deeply integrated into tools in every core Adobe product. 3D tools that support immersive media content creation are recently being deployed, laying the foundation for further development in years to come.

Adobe is fully investing in the future of immersive media. Although the creation software company has deployed products specifically for 3D, animation, and digital interaction, Adobe has yet to develop specific xR tools beyond 360-degree video support in Premiere. Aero, Adobe’s augmented reality development application, is the first standalone product from the company that supports AR content development.
